August 20, 2017, 11th Sunday after Pentecost
On the Road Again
Not wanting to keep the parish in the dark, Fr. Bob will be gone Sunday August 20 to see the eclipse. He has a seminary classmate who retired to Salem Oregon, which is right in the path of totality. So, he has a place to stay right in the center of things. He and Tracy will leave for Oregon on Friday August 18th and return home on Tuesday August 22.
Once again Pastor John Santoro will take the services for that Sunday.
After the 10:15 Liturgy: August 20
We need parishioners to assist with cleaning up after Coffee Hour
and securing the Church. Please give us a hand.
It's important that everything be turned off, all candles extinguished, and the Parish Hall be locked as well.
On the cabinet behind the choir will be a loose leaf binder with instructions and pictures about set up and take down.

Emmaus Road will not meet this coming Monday August 21.
We will next meet on Monday August 28 and discuss the film People Like Us. We’ll also begin to think on what we’ll either see or read next.
Parents and Children’s BBQ: Sunday, September 10, 4:30 p.m.
We were sorry not to do our traditional beginning of summer barbecue for all of you last June due to Tracy's surgery. We missed doing it, and Tracy told me you missed having it. Tracy is recovering well and is back to work. So we will do the Parent and Children BBQ on Sunday September 10 4:30 p.m. at the Rectory. We'll do our standard fare and have all of you help by bringing things to fill out the meal. I'll give more info as we get closer.
Summer Sunday School: Summer Sunday School continues through the month of August. Gillian Cox will lead a Sunday School class for children in Church during those Sundays. It will include Bible stories and craft activities.
Catechesis of the Good Shepherd will resume on Sunday September 10.
